Mantis™ Is Taking Shape | Behind the Scenes at FBR
From precision-machined components to painted assemblies ready for installation, the first Mantis™ welding robot is rapidly taking shape at FBR.
With most mechanical components now on site and assembly approaching, the team is progressing toward an important milestone in the development of a robotic solution designed for heavy industrial welding applications.
As work continues on the first Mantis™, components for the second unit are already being prepared, accelerating the path toward future deployment.
Meanwhile, Hadrian® 4 is being prepared for deployment in Melbourne, while Hadrian® 3 is making its way back from the United States for upgrades and future Wall as a Service® projects in Australia.
Following recent visits to CONEXPO in Las Vegas and industrial facilities throughout the Mississippi River region, FBR continues to see significant opportunities for Mantis™ across shipbuilding, barge construction and repair, defence manufacturing, and other heavy steel fabrication industries.
Watch the latest update from CEO Mark Pivac to see the progress being made across both the Mantis™ and Hadrian® platforms.
